This is my first attempt at a post via email, don't know why I need to bother, because chances are if I can access my email I can access the blogger website, but I thought I'd give it a go! It will probably turn out all rubbish and I won't like it so I really don't know why I am bothering.
I had my Spanish oral today and it went OK. I wasn't too nervous about it because I knew it was only going to last about five minutes, and it's hard to get scared about something that is only going to last that long! I recited the passage that I had memorised and then she asked me a few questions, I didn't answer them particularly well because I have an awful range of vocabulary in Spanish, but she said it was fine and that my pronounciation was good, so I am glad about that.
Other than that, all I have been doing today is revising for my History exam. I didn't get as much done as I hoped, but it's still a week away so there's plenty of time (I hope). I also watched an episode of Dirty Sexy Money, which I am loving more and more as the series goes on. I have to confess that the major lure is Donald Sutherland. I know he is totally an old man, and he's really old (72) but I love him. I thought I wasn't going to like him in this, because I thought he was going to be mean, but he seems nice. There's still room for him to be a baddie, it's not quite clear yet, but I like him all the same.
And just as I was about to go to bed, Air Force One has started! BBC One must be having a bit of a Harrison Ford season, cos Indiana Jones was on Sunday night (which I watched for the first time and thought was OK). I love Air Force One. I think it was the first American President film that I watched, so it was the start of my obsession with American politics. Ooh, and I've only just realised that Jim Brass from CSI is in it. I didn't know that, but the last time I watched it was long before I even knew CSI existed.
By the way, American Studies in Spanish is Estudios de los Estados Unidos. What a mouthful. And I had to say 'I study American Studies', which is Estudio estudios de los Estados Unidos. An even bigger mouthful. I'm quite proud of myself for being able to say it though.
